FAQs

What do I need to bring to every rehearsal?

For each rehearsal you need to bring:

  • Your instrument and accessories (bow, cello strap, mute etc.)
  • Music and music Binder
  • Music Stand
  • Pencil
  • A week of diligent practice
  • A great attitude
What do I wear to concerts?

Musicians dress in all black:

  • Black dress pants (no yoga pants or jeans) or long black dress/skirt (below the knees)
  • Black collared dress shirt (no prints/patterns)
  • Black socks/tights
  • Black dress shoes
What do I need to bring to every concert?

  • You don’t need to bring any nervousness or fear, leave them at home!
Do I need to be in concert dress for the dress rehearsal?

You only need to be in concert dress for the day of the concert, not at any other rehearsal.

Where can I pick up my tickets for a concert?

Each family can pick up and purchase additional tickets during the Tuesday rehearsal prior to the concert, in the main lobby at King’s Christian Collegiate.

What do additional concert tickets cost and how do I buy them?

We love for you to bring family and friends. Additional tickets costs are $25 for adults and $20 for students (5-18) and seniors (55+). You can purchase them during the Tuesday rehearsal prior to the concert, or at the door on concert day.

How are musicians to behave at OSYO?
How are parents required to help?

Rehearsals:

We ask that each family help for one rehearsal during the season as Parent Monitors (help set up and reset the rooms, provide snacks, assist with handouts).  The dates are assigned at the beginning of the season.

 

Concerts/Events:

At the beginning of the year we provide a list of volunteers that we need through the season at our retreat, concerts and other events.  Parents are encouraged to sign up where they are available to help.
